  • Sofia Kenin (USA) d. Alison Van Uytvanck (BEL) 7-6(5) 6-7(2) 7-6(2)
    at Lyon WTA Int'l (FRA)
    Indoor Hard, Semi Final
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Mar 7 2020 07:00:22
Kenin should be a much shorter price here, although in fairness she has suffered a reaction since winning the Australian Open. Despite her last 2 matches going the distance, arguably she should have dispatched Dodin in straight sets. Van Uytvanck possesses a poor record against elite level players.
  • Aryna Sabalenka (BLR) d. Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS) 6-4 6-3
    at Doha WTA Premier (QAT)
    Hard Court, Semi Final
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 28 2020 11:10:44
Despite her age, Kuznetsova continues to possess a decent record, borne out by her record against Top 10 and higher ranked players. Her ROI is excellent which indicates that she is being consistently under valued in the betting market despite her rising years. She has produced some smart tennis this week to down both Swiatek and Bencic and if the conditions are windy again her patience, experience and variety of shot could be a deciding factor as Sabalenka seemed to show some frustration yesterday before finally edging out Zheng
  • Petra Kvitova (CZE) d. Ashleigh Barty (AUS) 6-4 2-6 6-4
    at Doha WTA Premier (QAT)
    Hard Court, Semi Final
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 28 2020 09:02:24
Kvitova is the value play here, it is shortest price Barty has ever been in this H2H. Admittedly Barty has won their last 4 meetings, the last one at the Australian Open just over 1 month ago. However, scratching into the stats of that encounter Kvitova actually generated more break point opportunities and was only edged out in an opening set tiebreak
  • Amanda Anisimova (USA) d. Elina Svitolina (UKR) 6-3 6-3
    at Doha WTA Premier (QAT)
    Hard Court, Round of 32
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 24 2020 08:13:17
Svitolina should be shorter odds here and is priced as she is due to relative patchy recent form, but all in all she is a Top 10 player who reached the semi final at Doha last year. Anisimova is promising no doubt and beat Alexandrova in the opening round but this is a step up in opponent quality
  • Carla Suarez Navarro (ESP) d. Shuai Zhang (CHN) 7-5 6-0
    at Doha WTA Premier (QAT)
    Hard Court, Round of 64
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 24 2020 07:59:31
Suarez-Navarro holds a 3-0 H2H record over Zhang and possesses an excellent record at this tournament including being Champion in 2016. Although both are now 31yo there is enough evidence to support Suarez-Navarro here especially priced as underdog
  • Iga Swiatek (POL) d. Donna Vekic (CRO) 6-4 7-5
    at Doha WTA Premier (QAT)
    Hard Court, Round of 64
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 24 2020 07:51:49
18yo Swiatek is heading towards the top echelons of the game however whether she deserves to be fav here at this stage of her career is open to question. The players met at the Aus Open and the teenager priced as underdog won in straight sets however Vekic generated more break points but was woeful at converting them. With better composure on key points, Vekic as underdog is the correct play
  • Maria Sakkari (GRE) d. Julia Goerges (GER) 6-4 6-3
    at Doha WTA Premier (QAT)
    Hard Court, Round of 64
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 23 2020 21:43:10
There is no doubt that Sakkari has had the better start to the year, however she needs to defy a 3-1 H2H record (only win on clay). The reason for that record could be that she struggles against big servers on faster courts and Goerges fits that profile nicely here
  • Karolina Muchova (CZE) d. Magda Linette (POL) 6-3 6-1
    at Doha WTA Premier (QAT)
    Hard Court, Round of 64
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 22 2020 09:45:59
The last time the players met was in the Korea final which Muchova won easily, dropping just two games. She was priced must shorter than here, the turnaround in perceived chance is due to Linette's great start to the year. On balance Muchova is the value play here.
  • Simona Halep (ROU) d. Aryna Sabalenka (BLR) 3-6 6-2 6-2
    at Dubai WTA Premier (UAE)
    Hard Court, Quarter Final
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 20 2020 07:53:41
Halep is rarely priced as underdog in any matchup and usually only against elite players which makes her some value here. Sabalenka beat Halep earlier this season and is no doubt in great form but she is not an elite player just yet and can throw in some poor results from time to time.
  • Anett Kontaveit (EST) d. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) 7-6(5) 7-5
    at Dubai WTA Premier (UAE)
    Hard Court, Round of 16
    657 (1236) Aces +$368 ROI:+13.6% 56%
    Feb 19 2020 08:19:30
The players met just over a month ago with Pavlyuchenkova prevailing in straight sets, however Kontaveit generated more break points there and was considered a stronger pre-match favourite than she is here. Pavlyuchenkova snapped a 6 game losing streak at this tournament by beating Bencic in the opening round but that looked unlikely after dropping the opening set easily 6-1.
