  • Laura Siegemund (GER) d. Caroline Dolehide (USA) 6-3 6-3
    at Cincinnati WTA Premier (USA)
    Hard Court, Qualifying Rnd
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 21 2020 11:04:26
Dolehide 11 years younger than Siegemund and holds a recent H2H win over her opponent (admittedly an exhibition match but priced similarly today). She played at Lexington last week losing narrowly to Gauff, whereas Siegemund played on clay in Prague so has had travelling and surface changes to negotiate. Value on Dolehide as underdog
  • Bernabe Zapata Miralles (ESP) d. Facundo Bagnis (ARG) 5-3 ret.
    at Todi Ch (ITA)
    Clay, Quarter Final
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 21 2020 10:57:14
Zapata Miralles has dismissed two higher ranked opponents this week in facile manner (both straight sets, losing only 7 games combined). Bagnis will be no pushover but the younger Zapata Miralles is the better value play
  • Yannick Maden (GER) d. Arthur de Greef (BEL) 6-3 6-4
    at Prague Ch (CZE)
    Clay, Round of 32
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 18 2020 09:32:12
Surprised to see Maden as underdog, he possesses the better overall record and higher ranking. Their H2H stands at 1-1, De Greef actually winning last encounter on clay, however the pricing in those matches heavily favoured Maden and his exhibition activity has been positive. De Greef has not played since May.
  • Michael Vrbensky (CZE) d. Steven Diez (CAN) 7-5 6-3
    at Prague Ch (CZE)
    Clay, Round of 32
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%

Vrebensky should hold a good chance here. He has the advantage of being on home territory, experienced court conditions with a win against Masur and is only 20yo so possesses more potential ranking upside than his opponent. His exhibition performances read well, especially the recent win against Vesely
  • Elise Mertens (BEL) d. Eugenie Bouchard (CAN) 6-4 1-6 6-4
    at Prague WTA Int'l (CZE)
    Clay, Quarter Final
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 13 2020 18:49:51
Bouchard barely won a match in 2019, however she has looked a transformed player in her 2 matches here after surprisingly choosing to travel to Prague as a wildcard. Mertens will be a tough challenge however the odds on offer make Bouchard a speculative value play
  • Shelby Rogers (USA) d. Leylah Annie Fernandez (CAN) 6-2 7-5
    at Lexington WTA Int'l (USA)
    Hard Court, Round of 16
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 12 2020 10:47:39
Fernandez is a 17yo who is progressing at a fast rate judging by her recent performances. Although ranked similarly to Rogers, she has much more potential both short and long term. They have met twice during lockdown with both matches going the distance, but I suspect that Fernandez will edge ahead in that H2H here
  • Ons Jabeur (TUN) d. Olga Govortsova (BLR) 3-6 6-2 6-4
    at Lexington WTA Int'l (USA)
    Hard Court, Round of 16
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 11 2020 21:38:01
Jabeur only conceded 2 BPs in her opening round comfortable win against McNally and as stated in the 1st round comments her form prior to lockdown was most impressive. Govortseva now 31, has a class level borne out with a poor record against Top 50 ranked players
  • Elise Mertens (BEL) d. Camila Giorgi (ITA) 6-4 6-2
    at Prague WTA Int'l (CZE)
    Clay, Round of 16
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 11 2020 21:24:18
There is no doubting Giorgi has plenty recommend her chances here, excellent recent form and her above average record in 2nd round matches. However, with fatigue becoming an increasing possibility (run to semis last week and 3 sets in the opening round). Mertens is the value pick. They met in September last year with Mertens winning in straight sets at shorter odds than here, she’s younger and much higher ranked as well.
  • Leylah Annie Fernandez (CAN) d. Sloane Stephens (USA) 6-3 6-3
    at Lexington WTA Int'l (USA)
    Hard Court, Round of 32
    350 (1616) Aces +$828 ROI:+32.2% 66%
    Aug 11 2020 15:02:56
Fernandez has plenty of positives and rates decent value. She leads H2H 1:0, winning in March when priced much shorter than she is here, breezed through qualification (both straight sets) so is familiar with court conditions, and is a young, progressive player certain to rank higher than today. Stephens has had a fairly torrid 2020 so far, only passing the 1st round once before being beaten by her opponent today.
