Both do not have good hard court retrospects. Argentine has more quality, good return and good base.
Herbert comes at a terrible time with just 1 win in the last 10 hard court matches. It's a good drawer, but it's not that quality that makes your games win.

First day of more intense games has shown the somewhat slow court characteristics, favoring stronger players on serves and returns.
Already 33, Gasquet is not in good time, eliminated in the first round in both Asian tournaments (Thiem and Goffin), his last good tournament was in Cincinnate, losing in Semi. Gasquet was the first champion of the Antwerp Atp, tournament with the 4th edition. Has a good record with 6 wins in the last 7 games.
Korean is a 21 year old, has just entered the circuit and has found it difficult to pierce the qualis or even to advance the 1st round, but was just Qualy in Tokyo, has played some Challenger tournaments, but no results.
Gasquet's heavy play may be the key to this game, slow court requires more strength from the athletes, which can lead to more wear and tear from the Korean because they lack good endurance and cannot stand long changes.
