Two surprise semi finalists although Huesler has now won 34 matches in the past 5 months. Djere has a poor record on hard courts (21-40) and has lost 11 of his last 14 semi finals on the ATP Tour. Plus he's spent well over 10 hours on court this week and could run out of steam at some stage.
  • Casper Ruud (NOR) d. Felix Auger Aliassime (CAN) 6-1 6-2

I get it. He could be tired. The crowd are cheering on his opponent. Even so 13/10 looks generous. Ruud with better surface stats in the past year, by some distance as well.
  • Hubert Hurkacz (POL) d. Nick Kyrgios (AUS) 7-6(4) 6-7(5) 6-1

5/2 on Hurkacz looks massive to me. Beat him in Halle. He's 20-5 on hard courts in Masters Series event since the start of 2021 and won a title in that spell. An 11th match in 12 days for Kyrgios.
  • John Isner (USA) d. Enzo Couacaud (FRA) 6-7(6) 7-6(3) 4-6 6-3 7-5

I watched Isner at Roland Garros and he just doesn't have the legs in him anymore for 5 sets. He's lost in the 1st Round in 3 of his last 4 Grand Slams. Nishioka beat him here at Wimbledon last year when he was a 1.15 favourite. I don't know much about Couacaud, but he came through qualifying and is serving a lot of aces. He gave Evans a decent run for his money at Nottingham a few weeks ago.
  • Christian Harrison (USA) d. Jay Clarke (GBR) 7-6(3) 6-1 7-6(6)

Jay Clarke has a horrible record on grass losing 7 of his last 8 matches on this surface. The only win came over fellow Brit Paul Jubb. Harrison has earned his spot in the main draw by coming through qualifying. A feat he also achieved in 2018. Harrison has been in good form winning 17 of his last 24 matches. Clarke has lost 14 of his last 26 matches.
  • Ugo Humbert (FRA) d. Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG) 6-3 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-4

Worth a punt on the outsider given Humbert is 6-17 for the year. Monteiro beat him at Eastbourne last week. Why not Etcheverry at Wimbledon?
  • Casper Ruud (NOR) d. Albert Ramos-Vinolas (ESP) 7-6(1) 7-6(9) 6-2

Ramos leads the H2H 4-1 and has reached the 3rd Round of Wimbledon on 2 occasions. Ruud is 0-3 at the All England Club. Ramos will look to target the Ruud backhand with his cross court forehand. A tactic which nearly saw him beat Alcaraz at Roland Garros.
  • Tallon Griekspoor (NED) d. Fabio Fognini (ITA) 5-7 7-5 6-3 6-4
    at Wimbledon ATP Slam (GBR)

Fognini hasn't lost in the first round at Wimbledon since 2013. He's won 12 of his 19 matches since then at the All England Club. Griekspoor has never won a main draw match here and hasn't really set the tour alight as many expected. He's the likely winner, of course he is, I just think his odds are too short.
  • Sebastian Baez (ARG) d. Taro Daniel (JPN) 6-4 6-4 7-5
    at Wimbledon ATP Slam (GBR)

Baez beat Thompson last week on the grass and is having a much more productive season that Daniel who has yet to win a match at Wimbledon in 5 attempts.
  • Marcos Giron (USA) d. Holger Vitus Nodskov Rune (DEN) 6-3 7-5 6-4
    at Wimbledon ATP Slam (GBR)

Rune has a 27-16 record this season (63%). Giron is 11-20 (35%). Whilst the youngster has yet to adapt to the grass I see no reason why his results on this surface won't improve. Hopefully starting here at Wimbledon.
