The Man to beat and 1st seed is  Novak Djokovic

The Serb’s preparation to win another crown in New York for the first time since 2011 went well, not perfect for his lofty standards. Losing two finals in a row to Andy Murray (in Canada) and Roger Federer (in Cincinnati) may not look that good, but from his previous 3 Grand Slam tournaments he has lost only 1 final – to Stan Wawrinka in Roland Garros.

Barely taking our breath back after that great week in Canada, we move to Cincinnati for Men’s Masters Event and Women’s Premier 5 one. Taking you on a quick tour who will participate and guessing what to expect

ATP Cincinnati

Novak Djokovic leads the field as he will be looking to bounce back after a narrowly lost Rogers Cup final to Andy Murray in Canada over the weekend. Djokovic, the champion in 2007, 2011 and 2012, lost for only the fourth time in 56 matches this year. The Serb failed in his bid to tie the ATP Tour record for consecutive Masters 1000 event titles at five.

Rogers Cup is as packed as ever, and with so many storylines still to be written, let’s take a quick tour around both tournaments before the MD kicks off on Monday

ATP Montreal

Roger Federer decided to skip the event in order to prepare better for Cincinnati and of course the last Grand Slam of the year, The US Open. He played final last year in Toronto, where the Rogers Cup was held, so 600 points are already taken off his account. It doesn’t matter much though, as he has the 2nd place pretty much secured.

The Women’s Us Open Series kicks off this week while the Men will have an ATP 500 in Washington where a lot of the big boys will be battling it out for the title.

WTA Stanford

Last year’s winner and No.1 in the world Serena Williams withdrew because of an elbow problem while Caroline Wozniacki took a WC and is the top seed and playing for the first time in this competition.
The Premier event which kicks off the US Open series campaign for the Ladies has always had a stellar lineup, and this year is no different. The 28 player Draw has the top 8 seeds all
