The Californian desert in Indian Wells is opening station for the 9 Masters events on the ATP circuit throughout the year. This is the first serious test after Australian open and all top players keen for good impression. The only big exceptions are 4-time tournament champion Roger Federer and world number 8 David Ferrer. They skip Indian Wells due to injury.

After dynamic, interesting and not very good start of the season for more of top players, it’s time for Indian Wells. With the second largest tennis stadium in the world (after Arthur Ashe) Indian Wells tennis Garden is perfect stage for great battles.

Despite dominating in all categories Roger Federer in the first two sets, the Serb lost the 3rd but that was quickly forgotten and he then went on to win the 4-th and book his place in the final.

Serena Williams will try to match Steffi Graf’s 22 Grand Slam titles with a win on Saturday, while this Angelique’s 1st ever final as she made the step after already lost 2 SF in the past – in Wimbledon and US Open.
This is Serena’s 7-th Final in Melbourne and she showed no mercy ousting Agnieszka Radwanska in 2 sets. She also hasn’t lost a final here.
