Unbelievable. Vesnina currently 5-6 down in 1st set. She is just 2/13 on break points. Stollar without doubt plays her best points when facing break points. Always think that shows good mental strength. Bodes well for the future.

Madison Keys is in danger of becoming a clueless ball basher, rather than the Grand Slam contender she should be. She won just 36% of points behind her 2nd serve yesterday. Arruabarrena knew that she could let Keys beat herself by retrieving as many balls as possible and force her to play an extra shot. Keys duly obliged by making a hash of unforced errors. Arruabarrena played smart.....the same cannot be said about Keys. No plan B, no variation, just going for outright power strokes no matter her position on court. Trying to do things even the greatest would struggle with.

Konta however, is a much smarter player than Keys. I expect her to get plenty of looks at Arruabarrena's serve, and take some of the break points that will inevitably be coughed up. Konta's hard court stats over the past year are quite remarkable, she truly is an elite player these days. She should be winning this match up comfortably. Having said all that, form and stats can never tell you how someone will feel on the day. She best be feeling good today.

Delpo's record is 5/5 in his last 10 matches played in this odds range. And he has taken at least a set on all 10 occasions. So I'm going to roll the dice and back him to take at least a set here.
