It has taken us a while to work out the process but we are very please to announce that CASH REWARDS ARE BACK. Not only are they back but they will given out FOUR TIMES A YEAR starting from February 1st 2016. The amount you get back will still be based on the Aces received within the 3 month leader-board. The periods will be broken down as such:
- February 1st to April 30th
- May 1st to 31st
- August 1st to Oct 31st
- Nov 1st to January 31st.
Note: we have chosen these quarters such that the changeover never appears in the middle of a Grand Slam. Not all Periods are created equal.
Aces will continue to be converted to account time on the site each Tuesday. However, if you already have more than 12 months worth of credit then the Aces will NOT be converted. At the end of the Quarter Period a cash pool based on TI Revenue will be allocated and used to give back to the Ace Leaders (minus the value of subscription credit already earned).
Important: Cash rewards on February 1st 2016 will work a little different. To kick things off our first CASH PAYOUT will be based on Aces earned through all of 2015 up to January 31st 2016. So the whole time the new site has been up. It is our way of saying “thanks for sticking around”
How to Earn Aces
With Aces being now worth something more than time on the site (which is quite valuable in itself) it is important that we ensure that Aces are given to the people that deserve it. Tennis Insight reserves the right to discount any allocations of Aces that it does not determine to be deserving or fairly earned.
There are three ways to earn Aces on TI:
- Win a tip comp (1st, 2nd or 3rd in $,ROI or %) and receive Aces based on the size of the tournament.
- Receive Aces from other Members through your Insight posts being cheered or through a gift directly on your User Profile page. Please note that from now on you may not give more than 100 Aces to any user each week. Any gift as such will be removed (and shortly this will be impossible).
- NEW FEATURE: Starting with the Australian Open 2016 we will be giving out bonus Aces to those Members that have supplied the most Insight within the Tournament. The amount of Aces will be inline with the amounts given out in the tip comp. We will use the Aces given on posts to ascertain the top Members. So start giving those Aces out to your favourite posts!
Approximate Aces given out for each Tournament are as follows:
- Grand Slams: 10k Aces
- Masters/Premiers: 4k Aces
- ATP/WTA: 1k Aces
- CH/ITF: 500 Aces.
Note: these totals are loosely based on prize-money ranges.
API
We are currently trialing out an API that can be used to access the TI stats through a programming interface such as an VB within Excel or PHP. If you are keen to give it a try then let us know and we can send you the details. Currently we have commands for getting a list of Players, Tournaments, Matches, Match Stats and Match Stats Leaders
Commitment to Service
We want to again thank the TI community for all they do to help the site. We are committed to making TI all it can be and will try our hardest to both offer faster responses to requests/questions and to feed back all of your great ideas into the site. Look out for some improved filtering capabilities on both Match Activities and User bench-marking. Please don’t hesitated to get in touch [email protected]
Good luck to all this year.
