(26) Nick Kyrgios vs (7) Milos Raonic

Very anticipated clash and rematch from last year’s QF, which unfortunately comes in R3. Raonic won in 4 then but now faces a more experienced Australian who hasn’t faced much resistance in his 2 wins so far in the tournament.

“That’s where I feel as I’ve drawn a lot of confidence,” Kyrgios said about his improved fitness.

“You know, today I didn’t feel my body aching or anything at all, in my legs. That’s a lot of confidence. I thought last year against Raonic, I gave absolutely everything I could.

“I lost 7‑6 in the fourth set. If it was going to a fifth, I feel I could have completely emptied the tank. I feel like I’m a lot more confident coming into it.”

Raonic, wouldn’t be drawn into questions over Kyrgios’ on-court behavior at Wimbledon, remaining reserved when asked about their contrasting personalities.

“I really couldn’t care less,” Raonic said. “My job is to go out and find a way to win a tennis match.”

Since their last meeting the Canadian believes they both have developed further their games :

“Well, I think it’s been in different shades but it’s been pretty much both players making quite a bit of progress,” Raonic said.

“He’s really come into the aspect of playing well and doing consistently well, especially in big moments. I think last year I was showing a lot of consistency, but … I feel like I have stepped up quite a bit since last year.”

Milos is starting to get his form back little by little, and despite he lost a set to veteran Haas in the last round he looks more and more dangerous from what he showed in Queens 2 weeks ago for example.

(11) Grigor Dimitrov vs (21) Richard Gasquet

Last year semifinalist Dimitrov faces Richard Gasquet who he hasn’t beaten in 4 previous attempts.. They haven’t met in 2 years and the Bulgarian will surely look for a way to turn his fortunes in this anticipated encounter.
Considered as underachiever this year, Grigor didn’t have many problems against Del Bonis and Steve Johnson in his previous round but surely he need to pick his game up in order to take out the Frenchman.

“Not an easy one,” Dimitrov said, about the upcoming clash with Gasquet. “But I like my chances. I think with every match I’m raising my game and, hopefully, next match I’m playing even better.”

Carrying a lot of pressure on his shoulders to perform these two weeks to defend his points Dimitrov may find himself vulnerable and is no secret that Richard enjoys the Grass courts, as he has good movement and skills on that surface to trouble the best in the business.

Sloane Stephens vs (6) Lucie Safarova

Lucie leads the h2h 1-0 with the match coming last year in Dubai when Sloane was still a top 20 member. Sloane is proving to be one of the really hard opponents floating in the draw that is not seeded. Her return of form is obvious in the last months with 4th round in RG, losing to eventual Champion Serena Williams and SF in Eastbourne. Nothing to defend as points as she lost R1 to Maria Kirilienko last year.

Finalist in RG this year and a defending SF in Wimbledon Lucie surely is no pushover whatsoever. She was on a brink of being eliminated in R1 vs Alison Riske as she was down a set and a break but turned things around to advance.
This could turn out to be one of the highlights of the day as both seem to be peaking in the same time
