Sloane seems to care at least a little bit in this tourney, so I'll take her as a dangerous underdog.
  • Angelique Kerber (GER) d. Madison Keys (USA) 6-4 4-6 2-1 ret.
    at Osaka WTA 1000 (JPN)

Bad matchup for Keys, Kerber can absorb her power and play enough balls until Keys self-destructs. Keys certainly was not impressive against Diyas.
  • Ashleigh Barty (AUS) d. Julia Goerges (GER) 6-3 7-5
    at Birmingham WTA 1000 (GBR)

Worth a shot @4 on Georges. Barty is rolling right now, but Julia is playing very well this week. And it's always difficult to play against a double partner, add to that the pressure of potentially becoming #1, and this could be tricky for Barty.
  • Novak Djokovic (SRB) d. Lucas Pouille (FRA) 6-0 6-2 6-2
at Australian Open ATP Slam (AUS)

Tricky match for Novak as Pouille has been flying under the radar and is a dangerously streaky player. I don't think Novak has found his rhythm in this tournament yet, so I think the Nishikori retirement did not help him even though he didn't have to spend much time on court.

Novak should come through, but the odds are worth a shot here.
  • Naomi Osaka (JPN) d. Anastasija Sevastova (LAT) 4-6 6-3 6-4
at Australian Open WTA Slam (AUS)

Of course, when Osaka is on her game there is little you can do. However, she's not playing anywhere near where she was during her U.S. Open run. Sevastova can frustrate her.
  • Petra Kvitova (CZE) d. Aryna Sabalenka (BLR) 6-1 7-5
    at Sydney WTA 1000 (AUS)
    Hard Court, Round of 32

Don't think Sabalenka should try for a deep run here coming off a condensed tournament win and with the AO next week.
  • Elina Svitolina (UKR) d. Qiang Wang (CHN) 6-4 6-4
at US Open WTA Slam (USA)
    Hard Court, Round of 32

    1. Played each other twice in the last 1.5 years, Svitolina needed 3 sets in each to win (including a 3rd set TB)
    2. Wang is playing extremely well in her first two matches
    3. Svitolina has a tendency to bomb out of slams earlier than expected

Odds are too good to not give it a shot.
