| | Nice win by Wozniak...I did not comment here but at +205 odds I did back her...Bartoli really does need to drop some weight all kidding aside,it effects her in tight matches...Rich,I hope you didnt lay -250 juice on Marion...as I said ...up one day ,down the next...such is a bettors life but today I won a tidy sum...

| | Bartoli fitness again a liabillity. Whenever she wins people come out saying that she gets harsh press from people who don't know what they're talking about :| At the end of the day she's too fat for a professional sportsperson and her fitness is not good enough. |

LOL! Thanks catscratch! That one is perfect for this match AND most matches in the WTA. They can be just terrible. And it's no idea to use hedging if your bet seems to go wrong. A (WTA) match can do many 180 degree turns during the play. So, many times one has to sit and suffer; sweaty and with a pumping heart. 85-90% of my losses is WTA ones, so nowadays I always put in a small bet. And my friends... Never, ever go in with a large sum when it seems to be "free money" in a match, e.g. at the odds 1.01-1.03. In the WTA it could be lethal for your wallet.
Sorry, enough with "wise words" from a experied beginner. LOL. Okie-dokie, in this coming WTA horror I will go to the hangman with a smile on my face. The butterflies in my stomach whisper: "A small one on Aleksandra Wozniak". OK, I'll survive! Good Luck to you all! :-)

| | Difficult match to predict but then again so is every match when Bartoli is involved . She mixes up great results with some mediocre ones but clearly is on a decline (12-16 for the year) ever since her breakthrough performance at Wimbledon last year . At her best she can demolish opponents with her huge double handed bullets from either side and she loves opponents who give her pace . Having said that her movement is very suspect due to the overweight she still carries up to this day . A smart opponent who sends her from side to side and doesnt allow her to find her rythm can give her a lot of problems .
Wozniak has quietly been having one of the best seasons of her carreer so far and it is all accumulating into this breakthrough performance . Her favorite surface is actually clay but her game style suits the hard courts even more imho and she loves to hit the ball with a bit of pace as well .
I must say that I have been immensely impressed by her mental strength this week and this was especially apparent in her win over Stosur where she came back from 2-4 in the final set to win it 6-4 .
She must be feeling on top of the world right now after her wins over Schiavone , Bammer , Stosur and (injured) S. Williams . That last match especially told me a lot about her mental strength and she was not in the least bit intimidated by the prospect of beating Serena . Some players loose their cool when faced with a situation where their opponent is injured and especially when that opponent has a last name Williams . Just revisit the Wimbledon match of Serena vs Hantuchova and everyone knows what I am talking about .
Where it all boils down to is that Wozniak is not the kind of player that will easily be intimidated by the occasion . Given her upward trend and her mental edge I can see this match as a clearly 50-50 affair and that shows me exactly where the value lies when odds of around 3,25 can be had on Wozniak .

| | Certainly taken to the court and the good weather. Wozniak is improving so much and certainly had the Serena accounted for yesterday.

| | to be honest I am completely baffled by wozniak's form (or baffled by the womens game in general)- this match will be decided by experience - I dont recall the canadian being in these positions often if at all at this level whereas Bartoli certainly has this pedigree, important to note that bartoli did take out the defending champion in chakvetadze who was beaten on her favourite surface - you could argue that chakey isnt in the best of form. My recent record on predicting wta matches isnt that great but you do feel bartoli has the edge here. |

| | This match could go either way but I have been very impressed with Wozniak this week and the value is definetly with her. Bartoli odds far too low for this match so definetly have a small bet on Wozniak |
