| | @Scoonstar - I agree with you on this one actually. Much prefer to be with Virginie than the Canadian. Yes she's probably low on confidence after a couple of poor results but definitely more than capable here. Hardworking player who always gives her all. What do you think of the tournament outright prices? Who do you like? |

| | Can't say I agree with the general consensus here. Wozniak has been a tad disappointing since her breakthrough victory on home soil and despite being a class above in qualifying has struggled in the actual tourneys. I remember reading recently how Razzano seems to come good at this time of year and carries it on to Australian Open so I think I'll take the value here. |

| | Wozniak looks to me as though she's back to her best and was a little unlucky to lose out to Cornet in the first round last week in Tokyo after qualifying. Here again this week, the talented Canadian proved a class above her battling qualifier friends not losing a single set en route to the main draw. Her opponent is French veteran Virginie Razzano who is no doubt a light of past days and her capitulations to Dellacqua, Bacsinszky and Kanepi in her last three tournaments suggest she's not the determined and gritty counter-puncher she once was. Razzano struggles on the serve, gets a little too caught up in her defensive web losing focus on the occasional need to step in and attack and it's unlikely she'll get any favours from Wozniak who has been right on the money with her service placement of late which is backed up by a pretty strong baseline game. I honestly cannot see a win here for the Frenchwoman and the current odds are just a feast waiting to be devoured. |
