| | Excellent first set and alright second set. She had more than chances to break, she didn't, but atleast saved break points nearly on all her serving games. Could've been more dominent on the Tie, but after all she won, yeah. This was a good match for her first on the surface and tournament for a long time. Well Done Dinara! |

| | I think this match will be a lot closer than people imagine, Pironkova is in great form at the moment so is Safina, however Safina hasnt played indoors for a while and Pironkovas stats on the surface are better. I would back Pironkova at the start hoping that she will break Safina early on and then trade out. Safina's good form will have to stop soon |
