| | Obviously, Murray is a huge favorite here, but I think everything will depend of how Santoro will handle the match. This will be his last Wimbledon and I'm sure he is going to try as hard as he can to go out with some dignity. But, if he will go out with an attitude of only having fun then this could be a heavy defeat for the Magician. But, I don't think that will be the case. Murray is still very young, and he has some mental troubles on the court, especially when he is under pressure like in Wimbledon. Santoro can give him some problems with his play and if the attitude is right there could be a surprise. There is no value in playing Murray, but I'll put some small wager on the Frenchmen. |

| | This is an ideal match for Murray in the first round to get him into the swing of things.Murray had a good Queens intill haveing to pull out to Roddick with a sore wrist but he is now over that an ready to go.Santoro at Herto an other grass tourn over the years as found it tough showing is dislike to grass an wont have much luck today against Britain number one.Murray has a great game for grass espically is serve an has to many weapons for ageing Santoro an with all the postive comments Murray getting this year is confidence must be high for a solid Wimbledon this year.Best bet of the day Murray 3-0 sets 8/11 |

| | Murray has the expectations of a nation on his shoulders, and will need to improve on his previous "pressure" performances if he is to figure at this event. He has the advantage of having played and beaten the magician in his home town last year on carpet surface. The French veteran has lost 7 of his past 9, and was beaten quite comprehensively by both Baghdatis and Del Potro at Halle and s'Hertogenbosch respectively. His last Grand Slam performance at the French yielded just one game off Ferrer, and has not surpassed the second round here since the turn of the century signifying a dislike for the grass. Murray has the complete game to derail the magician - he has the big serve, a compotent net game, incredible movement, consistent groundstrokes and an attacking flair. It has taken the magical types of Baghdatis and Nalbandian to end his WImbledon runs of late, and it's hard to see Santoro producing enough high-quality tennis over the duration of 5 sets at his age to stop the Scot. Murray has an easy draw in my opinion and should almost write himself a ticket to the 4th round where you'd imagine Gasquet would be his most likely opponent. |

| | Ageing magician Fabrice Santoro is competing in his 64th Grand Slam, an all time record. He has struggled for results in 2008, which could possibly be his last year on the tour. He has lost first round in 5 of his last 7 events with his only wins coming against Evgeny Korolev and Rainer Schuettler. Murray withdrew from his quarter-final match at Queen's Club with Andy Roddick due to a thumb injury but has now recovered after taking full precaution. Should be a nice start for Andy here against one of the game's much loved crowd favourites. Murray has been handed a tough draw - Gasquet potentially lurking in round 4 with Nadal in the quarter-finals. Andy will be delighted with the recent words of 2 of the game's legends; Tim Henman and John McEnroe, who have both said he can defy the odds and win here this year. Santoro 5/1 Murray 1/9. |

| | Del Potro hasnt touched a challenger tournament for more than a year as far as i can see. He obviously has goals on the ATP circuit and so be it. I wont waste my time on describing the magician as we all know him well, and he probably is able teaching this kid some old school tennis. Just as bullet said, playing against Santoro for the first time may be a little hard for the young Argentine to deal with, especially on grass, even though Del-Potro played some descent matches on grass last year. But lets not forget, Santoro outclassed everyone in Newport on grass last year, and also defeated Karlovic in a 5 set drama last year! So please dont put youre money on any kind of stamina or youth here, cause Fabrice surely might teach the kid a lesson or two here! |

| | Del Potro has a 5-4 record on the grass but losses to Nadal, Karlovic and Federer make up three of the four defeats, he has suffered with a number of injuries this year and will be looking for a few wins on the grass if possible leading up to Wimbledon. Santoro has been a wonderful player over the years but his days of being effective on a regular basis are coming to an end and he is becoming more and more vulnerable to players with heavy groundstrokes. Del Potro has a definite advanatge in service power and if he's hitting his spots with the first serve will be a tough opponent to break. The Argentine teenager also packs a punch off the ground and will be looking to expose Santoro's lack of reach and susceptibility to players with heavy artillery. From Santoro's point of view he will look to exploit Del Potro's weaker second serve which can certainly be got at and his sometimes suspect movement, which Santoro is still able to do with his vast array of shots and deceptive spins. It is always difficult to know how a player will deal with Santoro the first time they play him but it is looking as though the French veteran is having increasing problems coping with any player with a quality power game and that is a worry for anyone looking to support him. |

| | Baghdatis is simply a better player and i dont intend to put the surface into his advantage. When Marcos gets going, he can beat pretty much anyone and im sure he came prepared for the grass court part very good. All respect for Santoro and i was 100% sure he could upset the out of form Schuettler, but it is obvious that for the last couple of seasons, Fabrice is playing tennis for his own soul and love for the sport, not to become the top player. Im sure Marcos has different plans, due to his age and his proven capability of competing with the best |
