| | This is a close one but Young is so inconsistent and can't really compete so far on the tour so Soeda has a chance after decent recent results. |

| | American players always have the advantage when playing at home - regardless of their form. I would take big Querrey in small bets and see how he performs today. |

| | Sam Querrey is very inconsistent and can lose to anyone, but he'll be playing in his home country on his favorite surface. That is enough motivation to play at his best and finish this game in straight sets. |

Querrey is another one that I never feel really confident about, especially in the first round. I can't see perennial challenger tourney player Go Soeda standing in the way of a focused and healthy Sam here though.
