| | I think if Volandri is over is injury problems,he will take this match because he is more solid from the baseline than Hernandez an will force Hernandez into errors |

| | One of the poorest matches i ve seen for month and Volandri was i choice you could totally forget. It was how bullet pointed out: Volandri moved very bad, had no serve at all and no motivation to make anything to win this match. |

| | I'd never advise anyone to put their money on Volandri. Anyone with such a poor serve simply cannot be trusted to win a match. I won't be betting on this match but if I had to I would back Fognini everytime. |

| | Volandri stopped the rot of a long losing sequence beating compatriot Cipolla in a very low quality affair. Fognini has found some fair form since his injury winning a challenger and took a set off Soderling in Bastad last week. Both players have a similar baseline style but Fognini does have a little bit more variety and is prepared to approach the forecourt from a suitable approach whereas Volandri is most uncomfortable if he finds himself anywhere near the net. It is noticeable Volandri is not moving anything near as well as he did at his best and his ability to hit on the run was always one of the strong parts of his game but that has certainly been suffering. Volandri also has one of the worst serves on tour. Fognini dropped just five games in his first round win and held his serve throughout. I would be very keen to be with Fognini in this one given Volandri's less than impressive movement at the moment and his poor serve. |

| | Phew! No, I can't make a decision or a prediction before this match. Imo it's such one you only can play live and make your bet after awhile. Or be prepared for hedgin' (which I hate).

| | I think the win as an underdog against Cippola will help Volandri in this one. His style of play which is primarily a consistent baseline game and opening up angles to hit winners requires confidence
Since I class Volandri as the Numero Uno Italian, I think he will be keen to win this one against countryman Fognini. This will be like your derby.
And in the words of Dr Smith (1950s TV Show Lost in Space), I preict Volandri will make a nini out of Fognini.
I will up my bet to medium stakes for this one as I have completely been on the fence today. |

| | volandri has made a sound living being a consistant clay courter over the seasons, you have to think that his bad run of form has come to an end - im sure if we saw this matchup 6 months ago we would all be with volandri, you have to think he is on the road to recovery. |

| | Volandri has all in all a very good record in Umaq, never lost in this round and he seems to be fired up for this one after yeserdays match. The good odds are gone now but still worth a shot. |
