| | Del Potro has an extremely tough draw in this tournament, if he gets pass this round its probably bolelli, than Kohlscriber, and if good enough Nadal and we all know how tough nadal is beat, but lets stick to the present and say that Del potro should take it out here against the russian in 2. |

| | Del Potro has been a comfortable winner of both previous meetings although they were on hard courts. Del Potro has a pretty good defensive game despite his big frame and Korolev could have some problems penetrating on a regular basis despite his ultra aggressive nature. Del Potro's big serve should gain him some cheap points and the Argentine is far more consistent from the back of the court than Korolev. |

| | Berdych really rode his luck in this match, a break down at 3-5 in the decider he somehow conjured up four games back to back to pull it out of the fire. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him reach the quarters having saved a 'life' in this match and his draw looks favourable to do that. Could we be witnessing a bit of mental fortitude from the usually brittle Berdych? |

| | Both players have had little preparation on the grass with Korolev choosing to play Warsaw indicating his expectations are low for this event, while Berdych obviously attempted to defend his title in Halle but did so with little success humbled by a red-hot Soderling in the second round. The Czech has the perfect game for grass with a booming serve and some scintillating groundstrokes particularly his big forehand that he can re-direct to any area on the court, but as is always the quesiton with the Berd man is whether he is mentally prepared and ready for the big stage. As mentioned by bullet, Korolev has knocked off some good upsets in his brief career to date and is probably representative with the unpredictability with which he plays his tennis. His unforced error count is usually more than double his winners count, but he can be very flashy and go on good momentum runs, and does have efficiency on the first and second balls when on-song. Berdych has dealt with much more difficult opponents at Wimbledon previously, knocking off difficult defensive counter-punchers in Lee, Hernych and Massu, quality baseliner in Haas, and the typical grasscourt serve/volleyers in Bjorkman and Llodra. Korolev has lost this year to Mahut, Gonzalez (2) and Safin suggesting he struggles with the big-serving opponents (22-20 overall according to TI model), and with a poor 2-6 record in Grand Slams should eventually be overcome by the superior experience and artillery of the 11th seed. 3-1 sets could be some value. |

| | Berdych has an excellent grass court game his big serve and aggressive groundies are ideal for the surface and he has a healthy 23-9 record on turf and is 9-4 at Wimbledon bettering his performance year on year and the Czech was a quarter finalist last year. Korolev has limited grass court experience and is 1-3 on grass his only Wimbledon visit was last year where he went down in atight three sets to Davydenko. The Russian enters the championships this year without a prep tournament suggesting his expectations on grass are pretty low. He has done well on the faster surfaces of carpet and indoor hard suggesting his aggressive game should be suited to grass. The Russian has proven himself able to do a bit of giant killing over the last couple of years with wins over Gonzalez, Mathieu, Wawrinka, Blake, Moya and Davydenko. Berdych is certainly the more likely winner but Korolev does have that little bit of unpredictability about him and an upset is my no means out of the question. |

| | Bunsen - sorry, you may have mistaken what I was referring to, I more meant the use of words. Whilst I do think the speculation about fixing is a little overdone on the site, I do realise that there are definite times when it is at least warranted to a certain extent. I was, however, more referring to the way in which players are described in terms of their physical appearance (ie, Bartoli, Stepanek, Dellacqua, etc) and just general use of derogatory words such as was used for Mattek). Sorry for confusion. |

| | Starace as well as Canas are completely unbackable at the moment anyway. |

| | Fair enough you don't want the site getting in legal trouble, but if you witness a player throw a match on purpose/make no attempt to win e.g. Ferrer vs Kohly at that World Team Tournament in Dusseldorf, then I think it's fair enough to comment that he was a disgrace and chose to lose. By the same token if suspicious odds movements and scoring patterns suggest something was dodgy --- Volandri the other day --- then I think we're within are rights to comment on it. |
