| | Mario has good results in pair years (SF 2004, Qf 2006, he beat Roger in 2002), and Llodra is injured. I think I'll place 2 bets - 1st one: Mario wins (1.45). 2nd: 41 or more games will be played. Last 6 Mario's matches on grass were ended in 2 sets. I think now is the time for a little bit longer match. |

| | I think it is a bad 1st round for llodra in this wimbledon 2008. I do not see ancic losing tomorrow. I am suspicious on the form of llodra which helps me here |

| | I can't agree here, there is no way I'd consider backing Ancic at these current odds. He beat Minar and Darcis in 's-Hertogenbosch before losing out quite tamely to David Ferrer (which is definetely no embarrassment) but he doesn't look in good enough shape to me. It was the same at Queen's, won his first 2 matches before being thwarted by Gasquet. Llodra did retire in Halle recently with an arm injury but withdrew from Nottingham to allow recovery and is back and raring to go. Breaks of serve will be limited here and I call this more of a 50/50 contest, therefore, 2/1 is big value. Llodra 2/1 Ancic 4/11. |

| | Obviously, there is a massive injury concern about Llodra. I don't think he is at 100 percent, and his cause won't be helped that he has to play Ancic in the first round. But, on the other hand, the Frenchmen withdrew from Nottingham tournament last week to give himself more time to prepare and maybe he is ready to perform to the best of ability. No bet should be the pick here as there are to many unknowns about this match, but still it's hard to not like the chances of Ancic in this match. |

| | Two of the more accomplished grass court players are unlikely to be too enamoured with the draw. Ancic leads the series 2-0 including one on grass and with Llodra coming under a bit of an injury cloud (left shoulder/arm) the Croat should be a firm favourite. Llodra despite a fine grass record 35-17 has never been beyond the second round here and has suffered four first round defeats from seven attempts, leaving a pretty poor 3-7 Wimbledon record in the main draw (12-7 including qualies). Ancic has an excellent 42-16 grass record, 16-5 Wimbledon and has been a Semi-finalist 2004 and Quarter-finalist 2006, the Croat missing last years tournament with illness. The Croat's only loss to a serve volley player on grass came back in 2002 as an eighteen year old when he lost to Karlovic in Queens qualies. Although Ancic is more than likely to employ serve volley tactics on his first serve he is a lot more versatile than Llodra and is capable of playing counter attacking tennis from the back of the court if necessary and has a few more strings to his bow than the Frenchman. The head to head, Wimbledon record and Ancic's ability to neutralise the Llodra tactics all point in favour of the Croat. |

| | Seems like Llodra has pulled out of tournament. Schwank is playing against lucky loser Nielsen. |

| | The way a see this match is 2 fold: either a Llodra win or a Llodra retirement. I just don't see a fit Llodra losing to someone with no grass court experience... |
