| | These are some massive odds on Stakhovsky. A value bet of the first round and should be taken with full power. I really don't care if Ferrer won the grass court tournament last week in Rosmalen, as that grass surface is much slower then the one in Wimbledon. The Ukranian with his powerful serve and volley game will be extremly aggresive and should prevail if he maintains a high first serve percentage. |

| | I saw Stakhovsky in Zagreb and this player has game for grass. He attacks net he has good serve and he puts everything back.He makes very small number of unforced errors.Ferrer won tournament but only impressive win was against Ancic but Ancic movement is little akward.Ferrer could find himself in big troubles tomorow and when that happens i will have my money on Stakhovsky. This is big opportunity for making money.Stakhovsky will earn a lot of cheap points by serve and net play and Ferrer will have to work hard for points |

| | Stakhovsky was in hot form earlier this year, posting wins over quality such as Tipsarevic, Troicki, Karlovic, Bolelli and Ljubicic to record his first ATP title in Zagreb. Since then, the patch has been lean for the young giant Ukranian with some horrid performances on his most despised surface (clay), but did qualify here with wins over the useful up-and-comer Armritaj and a solid victory over Gonzalez to secure his berth in the main draw. All that being done while David Ferrer was earning himself the ideal lead-up, taking out his first grass court title in Holland dropping no sets along the way and showing his class winning 3 tiebreakers against big-serving opponents (Ancic, Dell'Acqua, Del Potro). The Spaniard is the ultimate retriever behind his good friend Nadal, and has good rhythm on serve and some hefty groundstrokes off the forehand side. He has a huge motor which makes him a difficult proposition over the course of 5 sets - Ferrer has won his last 8 matches that have gone to a 5th set. At Wimbledon, the Spanish warrior has performed only mediocre but did make the 4th round in 2006 where he lost out narrowly to Lleyton, while his opponent is playing his first main draw here and for that matter his very first Grand Slam. Nerves are likely to play their part for the Ukranian, and he still has lots of work to do with his all-court consistency if he is to trouble a man with the consistency of Ferrer. He may get deep into a set, but the class of the Spaniard as well as his formidable record in tiebreaks should eventually show and the 3-0 result looks close to a shoe-in provided there is no fatigue factor from s'Hertogenbosch. |

| | Ferrer arrives in good form having won eleven of his last twelve and with his first grass title in the bag increasing his grass record to 11-7 but it is worth noting the Spaniard is 9-2 over the last two years which has included a couple of notable scalps in Ancic and Gonzalez showing Ferrer has been able to adapt his game to this terrain. Stakhovsky did well in qualies dropping just a single set and his grass record now stands at 17-16. Stakhovsky's best results have come on faster surfaces and the Ukranian won his first ATP title earlier in the year on carpet in Zagreb with some wins over useful opponents, Karlovic, Troicki, Tipsarevic, Bolelli and Ljubicic. He has struggled in the main since then but has not played that many tournaments and managed just a single win on the clay. The return to grass has seen him win four of his last five but this does look something of a tall order for the Ukranian. Ferrer is one of the tours best movers and few have better return games than the Spaniard. Although a solid defender Ferrer is also aggressive in attack and is often willing to take the fight to opponents. Stakhovsky has struggled against players with a solid foundation and his run in Zagreb was largely against less mobile types. Stakhovsky does have the bigger serve but can be a little erratic off the ground, Ferrer's returning skills should nulify the serve to a certain extent, with the Spaniards greater consistency off the floor forcing errors from the Ukranian. |

| | Looking at the percentage, Stakhovski ranked 137, is one of the best players in the ATP tour at this moment, due to his 6W-1L record. This record is a consequence of his win in Zagreb on an indoor tournament. The rest of the season has not been that good, because he lost in the 1st round on 6 tournaments later on. Armitraj (ranked 311) didn't show much this season either, and altough he comes from a tennis family he is not going to reach his father's (Vijay) achievements in the tennis world. This could turn a tight matchup to Stakhovsky, but I think Sergiy has all the right weapons to neutralise Prakash and win this match today. |

| | Stakhovsky had a fantastic title run in Zagreb where he showed that fast conditions suit him extremely well. In fact all of his best results have come indoors and the Ukranians form on clay is pretty uninspiring. Gimeno-Traver is the complete opposite and all of the Spanish youngsters best form is on clay, where he can boast Djokovic and Calleri amongst his victims. |

| | Stakhovsky has certainly shown his ability to handle some big servers this week and will have to go to the well again against indoor specialist Ljubicic. Stakhovsky has posted some decent results indoors albeit at challenger level but has proved this week he is more than up to the task. He notched a win over the Karlovic serve which is superior to that of Ljubicic and also managed to overcome the superior groundstrokes of Tipsarevic. So I wouldn't be keen to write off his chance here but the young Russian has never even managed a title at challenger level so far. It is quite possible the occasion could get the better of him, Ljubicic has seen it all before and his greater experience could play a part, not to mention the home support as he bids for his second title in Zagreb. |
