| | Udomchoke lucky to win against Levy in previous round. Will not have enough to beat B.B. as long as Becker does not make to many errors. It is on Beckers racket. He will either win or lose this match depending on his error count |

| | Udomchoke scraped past Harel Levy in an unconvincing display, but the home crowd pushed him over the line. Comes up against Carlos Moya's conqueror Benny Becker who seemed to recapture some of the form that propelled him onto the tour in late '06 with that famous win over Agassi in his last US open. Used his serve to great effect, and was fantastic from the baseline enducing many errors from the Moya forehand wing. With that confidence, he has what it takes to wipe the little Thai man off the court, but he's a gritty competitor is Danai and this one will go all the way deep into a third with the German probably just coming through. |

| | Levy will be competitive in this match as always but has little chance of beating the Udomchoke Express.A straight sets win |

| | Levy is a solid competitor at challenger level but has always struggled at the top level in his many years as a professional. He had a good Davis Cup when Israel stunned Chile 3-2 at home, but he is facing a home crowd favourite this time, in little pocket dynamo Danai Udomchoke. The Thai man will want to delight the Bangkok fans with his speedy and aggressive style. There's not much to him, but he gets the most out of himself all the time and he has a Hewitt-like fighting style. Should be too strong here. |

| | Capdeville has taken the next step this year, and even played some nice tennis against Federer in Rd2 of the US Open. The Chilean has some good groundies, and a well-noted and penetrative serve. He likes to dictate the points, and can be flashy at times. Udomchoke is much in the mould of a Hyung-Taik Lee, very solid off the ground but unlikely to blast an opponent off the court. His speed is an asset, and he'll run down everything that Capdeville serves up to him. Go with the Thai pocket dynamo here, he'll have the fitness to outlast the Chilean in 3 sets. |

| | Odesnik reared his head with a win over Ljubicic a month ago, and has had a very solid couple of months during the American summer. He is a tough player to break serve, despite his height of only 5'8". He is also extremely consistent from the back of the court, and uses the angles well. Here, he meets a speedy Thai in Danai Udomchoke who will pose some problems for the American. Udomchoke has stunned some good players in his career before, and will not be backward in coming forward. Likely to take to Odesnik with some controlled aggression, but Wayne will see a good chance to start moving up the rankings even more with a tolerable draw. Likely 5 setter between two guys of similar style, but Odesnik to prevail much to the delight of the fans. |
