| | The improving Wang is a 0-3 h2h deficit against the time-bomb Tursunov, but has taken it to 3 tight sets the last two times they met last year on grass and hard court respectively. Tursunov had a horrible Davis Cup, and was sketchy against a claycourter in the opening round, but improved out of sight to despatch the big serving Llodra and never once faced a break point. His serve was really on, and if that occurs again here, the tiny Wang is going to have a lot of trouble to take up a good court position in the rallies. The young Chinese Taipei player dismissed the inexperienced Nick Lindahl in the previous round, but will need to lift his serve performance from that game where he was broken on three occasions despite winning in straight sets. Tursunov in 2. |

| | The young Aussie Lindahl was super impressive coming from a set down to beat the big American Sam Querrey. His serve held up very well, and he was very solid from the back of the court and blasted winners left, right and centre. Very slightly built, but gets a lot of power out of his shots and looks to be a prospect. Wang thanked the gods when Roddick pulled out of the tournament (and hence their opening round match), and was far too good for Phillip King. Wang is small and speedy, and won't make too many unforced errors, so for the inexperienced Aussie he may be a little bit too difficult as opposed to Querrey who is less patient. Wang in 3. |

| | Like most Asian players, Wang is speedy and is better than his ranking of 167 suggests. Short in stature, but packs a lot of punches in that small frame and is a really good competitor on the court. Will need all that and more playing the A-Rod on his favourite surface, and Andy is clearly in good form after dispatching of Johansson and Bjorkman with ease in Sweden (Davis Cup) only days ago. Only meeting on grass was convincing for the American, and Wang has only improved 14 players in the 3 and a half years since that meeting so that form says enough. |
