| | I'm gong with Somdev again. Kendrick represents the type of opponent that Somdev would like to face in a final. Somdev has faced and beaten Isner before and is not afraid of the big delivery. He wants a matchup where he can rely on his speed and groundstroking ability. Not backing off the pro upstart who will surely have much support here. He has had much rest after the retirement of oft-injured Malisse, who was getting pounded anyway. |

| | Another example of what i was saying is right here again. As we know now, Isner defeated Kendrick in straight sets 7-5 6-4. Looks pretty solid but if we looka little deeper, Inser actually saved all 11 break points that Robert Kendrick had, including a set point in the first set. Kendrick was actually better on both first and second serve, winning them 83% and 48%, comparing to Isners 74% and 45%........
So you tell me now....How close to losing the match Isner actually was today? Id say very close....... |

| | Too unlucky for words..Kendrick should have won the first set with ease and in the second set he messes up the first game and the last, not grabbing any BP at 0-40 and leaving it at 0-11 from breakpoints. 22.5 not reached.. |

| | It's pretty rare to get an over/under line for friendly giant John Isner which is under 23 games and still around 1.8. This time the line is 22.5, which I'll take with both hands. The tall American was terrible on grass this year but the quick US hardcourt are by far the best surface for him. Last year he got in his best form around this week as well, winning the Challenger of Lexington and reaching the Washington final, just losing to Roddick and beating many class players, mostly in a tiebreak fest (11 tiebreaks in 17 sets played that week). The early hardcourt season had some good and some bad moments but again the tiebreaks were flying around. This will be his first hardcourt match in a while and opponent Kendrick has more rhythm. His countryman has already played two weeks ago in Winnetka and reached the semi's (where he had to retire). He is a big hitter but lacks the real big serve. Despite this he still has a lot of tiebreaks and that is also what I expect now, in this tight match-up. It should be an even match just as the Dancevic-Reynolds match and the line is great for this one.
H2H is 1-0 Kendrick and the score says it all:

| | Isner is a young american with future and a great serve( much useful in Hard courts). Kendrick never was a good player, and for worst, this medium carrer is going down now. I can´t see any chance to Kendrick in this. |

| | No prices as yet for this, but should see great odds on Kendrick in what is - for me - a 50/50 matchup. Expecting 2.7+ on the Veteran and will be delighted with anything bigger, well worth keeping a look out for some early prices. Isner may be a little low on confidence after his thrashing by Levine in Newport, but will be delighted to get back on to his favoured hardcourts and higher (also truer) bounces. Despite this I'm looking foward to some big odds on Kendrick. |
