| | Yes, you got it! The value here is on the breakers. Do your punting on the 7-5's & 7-6's & I don't think you can go wrong. Mix them up on a multi-bet together with some easy matches...include the girls too (ie. Williams, Razzano & Peer). Good luck!!! |

| | The real toughie here, with good value on offer for either player. Agree with bullet in that it's good to see JJ back as he is still regarded as one of the future stars of the game with a mammoth serve and some dangerous groundstrokes. At 6'6", he's probably used to talking down at people, but not here as he faces the tallest man in tennis history Ivo Karlovic 4 inches taller. The Croat's serve has been as damaging as ever lately, and it took a red-hot David Ferrer to break him down. Since June 05, Karlovic is an amazing 12-1 against big servers, including scalps like Roddick, Guccione, Mirnyi, Rusedski and Gonzalez. All those players are different in their own way, showing that Karlovic is so hard to break that eventually he will gain an opportunity on the return of serve that will enable him to wrap up the match. Johansson is less match fit, but will enjoy the tagret the Ivo provides if he gets enough of a look at the second ball. If they get into many baseline duals, the Swede is going to prevail as his groundstrokes will be too powerful, but Karlovic is going to have him out of position more often that not and I think that will be the telling factor. Karlovic in 3. |

| | Anyone for a tiebreak! Great to see JJ back in action after such a long spell out with injury. He hit 18 aces in the first round but that was easily surpassed by the 34 Karlovic hit although the Croat needed a set more. To say this will be serve dominated is something of an understatement, at least two breakers looks a strong outcome in this one. |

| | Another claycourter giving the indoors a go. Berlocq is solid from the back, but is very much a one dimensional player. Note he withdrew with an unknown injury in a doubles challenger match in September and has not been sighted since so is likely to need the run as they say. Combine that with the fact he is playing a 6'6" giant who is playing in front of home fans and you spell trouble. The Argentine has never beaten a big server, plus Joachim Johansson has made it to at least the quarters here in his past 3 appearances. On indoor surface, the Swede will be far too good and his massive shots from the back of the court will prove an overwhelming task for Carlos. |

| | Johansson always plays very tight matches with lefties. There are often 3 sets with one or more tiebreaks. Verdasco is in normal form today, Simon and Mathieu were successfully beaten during last US Open... It isn't best choice for Joachim for first round here...
Verdasco in 3 sets, I think. |

| | Joachim has been off for a while and returned in the Davis Cup but with two scratchy performances at best. Beat Verdasco at the Aus Open 03 on hard court, then predictably lost on the clay where his huge serve is negated and the speed and flashy groundstrokes and guile of Verdasco comes more into play. The Swede is back on his favourite surface and is helped by the fact that Verdasco hasn't played an awful lot of late. I'm sticking safe with the serve of Johansson here, especially if you can get more than $2.50ish.. |
