Very dodgy indeed. I had Zverev as the final leg of a nice multi and had to wait 2 days this horrible result. Will be steering clear of him in future.

Whilst this match was suspended due to rain the odds on Zverev drifted out to about 2.2. On resumption he immediately loses the first set and gets crushed 6-0 in the second. This looks suspicious as apparently Zverev played OK up until the rain delay. Someone knew that Zverev was not going to compete after the rain delay. Very dodgy.

Agree with d.carson. I already have a bet on Zverev and I think I'll load up some more as he made the better impression so far. He has the far better serve and that will decide this match in the end. Zverev will win in it two tiebreakers!

Sela currently has a slender lead in this match which has been suspended due to rain but I think Mischa will eventually break him down and is a more than fair price for a player who has achieved some good scalps during the clay swing.

Neither player is in form or has any real pedigree on clay. The bookies make this about even chances. If there was value on Zverev I may have had a punt but there isn't so my advice to all is no bet.

Zverev has, despite the end statistics and results, been improving on the dirt this year - he beat Horna who proved that a fair formline in Rome, he matched it with Ramirez-Hidalgo who pushed Fed to the limits and he took Ivo Karlovic to two tiebreaks in Hamburg last week and the Croat has been in fine form on the dirt himself. The serve-volleying German focuses most of his energy on those two weapons, but will not want many baseline rallies to develop here against the consistent baseline play of Dudi Sela. The Israelian is considerably shorter and will have trouble with the reach if Zverev's serve is on song, but can pack some good punches off both wings and is very speedy around the court. Clay is not his favoured surface as he prefers to use the opponent's pace rather than generating that of his own, and he's beaten very little of substance on this surface in the past two years. Sela's last five matches against big-serve types (Karlovic, Johansson, Gonzalez twice and Acasuso) have all yielded straight sets defeats bar one, and Mischa should generate enough opportunities on his opponent's serve to continue that trend. Two tight sets.

Zverev bt Sela at junior Wimbledon some five years ago, hardly a ringing endorsement fot this surface. Zverev's form has taken a turn for the worse since his good run in Rotterdam and he has a 3-10 record since then and 2-5 clay. Sela has hardly excelled on the clay and is 2-3. Zverev is likely to come out all guns blazing as is his style, while Sela sits back and trys to stem the tide. Zverev has in fact won a challenger on clay, which is quite surprising given his style and i have a sneaky feeling he might just win this.

Tip: The difference in Match Rating between two players represents the average number of service games that separate them in a set of tennis as predicted by the Insight Model. Lower Rating Handle values indicate that the predicted rating is more speculative and that the player’s ‘true’ form may be significantly different from the models statistical prediction.
