Login to give Aces		 Bartoli withdrew from her match with Cibulkova in Moscow citing a toe injury but it was minor and was probably more down to the fact she was losing anyway and didn't want to worsen the condition. It is also important to note that Agnes Szavay withdrew pre-tournament from that same event through injury. The Hungarian's ranking has slipped from 15 to 27 in recent months with her confidence and shot-making at an all-time low. Her once powerful serving weapon is now a liability, she struggles to get any rhythm with her percentages and the second ball is awfully shaky. Her forehand is also a target for a lot of her opponent as she fails to get as much penetration and consistency on this wing as she does with the double-fisted backhand, and that will play in favour of Bartoli who can feel confident of whalloping her double-grip forehand crosscourt where she could receive a few shank replies. The key to beating Bartoli is punishing her second ball and moving her around the court where her fitness and sideways movement is not quite up to scratch, but this will be a hard ask for the Hungarian and she is just as likely to be error-ridden than to pull off that tactic. Forget the result in Berlin - not only is that Szavay's favourite and Marion's least favourite surface, but the Frenchlady led in both sets and had set point in the first. On the quicker indoor terrain, Bartoli's aggressive game should come to the fore just like it did last year when she made QFs. Aggie struggles indoors - she has been comprehensively beaten by powerpackets Azarenka and Kleybanova in her only two matches on the terrain in 2008 - and I would definitely not be backing against that happening again here today. Allez.

Login to give Aces		 As much as I love Bartoli, I hate to say I don't think she will win here. I would love to be proven wrong though because Bartoli is one of my fav players along with Jankovic, Zvonareva and Dementieva!

Login to give Aces		 Bartoli has been playing well lately and is pushing some of the top girls further than they would expect. Szavay has been sliding for some time and while she has a chance here the way to go I think is Bartoli.
