Login to give Aces | | Both are in good form but I just feel that Petrova will be a lot more motivated and the faster court will help her serving. Pennetta will hit plenty of good returns in the rallies and make Nadia run around a bit so it will be close but the odds on Nadia make sense to me. |

Login to give Aces | | It is really hard match. I like Petrova a lot and also Pannetta as an underdog. In my eyes chances are equal 50/50 but much better value on Pannetta. I will follow value. Both of them play magnificent lately so I count on a good show |

Login to give Aces | | Pennetta leads the h2h 2-1 and just recently in the US Open defeated Petrova in a tense 3-set battle but expect the tables to turn here. Zurich is quick and generally favours the girls with a bigger serve and heavier groundstrokes, a category slotted into perfectly for the big Russian. She really has revived her career which seemed done and dusted this time last year, and made the Stuttgart final indoors then the Moscow QFs where she was unlucky to lose to Dementieva. The Italian really struggles on this terrain due to the extra bite off the ground which makes it harder for her to defend (proven by losses to Bondarenko, Vaidisova, Mirza, Hantuchova, Kirilenko), and not only that but Pennetta is not known for her serving attributes - quite often it is her downfall particularly when trying to close out sets and matches where she is so regularly prone to choke. Petrova is back up to 13 in the world and within very close striking distance of Schnyder and Chakky at 11 and 12 respectively, she is full of confidence at the moment and will be hungry at revenge on the Flushing Meadows result. |

Flavia also has no trouble against big hitters and she is consistent and well rounded. Petrova definitely has the ability to prevail, but it will not come easy. |
