Good performance rom the Serb and I wouldn't rule her out of the tournament. Far from it actually.. I think she has a great shot at it.

Login to give Aces		 For my taste most of the posts sound a bit too euphoric about Wozniacki. Yes, she is on an amazing run the last weeks and yes, she has a realistic chance to prevail here. But you must not forget that Jankovic didn't become the world's number 2 by being a player who is easy to beat. She has the experience and the class to deliver a big fight here and I still see her as the favorite in a very close encounter.

Login to give Aces		 I am somewhat flummoxed my the odds on this match. At 2/1 (roughly what I was expecting) I would definitely had a bet on Caroline. At 10/11 I am not so sure. Caroline is the in form up and coming player, but Jelena has considerable experience on her side.
All in all at the odds I am not sure that there is any value in this one, but in the wonderful virtual world of tennis insight

Login to give Aces		 A very yummie match. This one is imo the most interesting of today. In one corner we have the champ, who can play very well, but has a crystal clear down period. Very shaky tennis lately. And i agree with @cats: Jelly Jankovic came out from the fight with Zheng just because Miss Zheng gave us a lesson how NOT to play tennis. Where was the East Asian discipline? But Jelly-Jan survived that match. Now she's going to meet a young, "hungry" fighter. Caroline is amazing. We will see her among the Top 3 very soon. She has "it" and that "it" will be a bye-bye for Jelly-Jan in the US Open 2008.

Login to give Aces		 After careful deliberation, I have decided that Caroline Wozniaki will win. Janko got out of her match against Jie Zheng who frustratingly could not hold serve and surrendered some 8/11 service breaks.

I coined the phrase "Eat fish...good for brain" directed at Zheng as she played like an idiot and still Janko had to play the match of her life to win. Gung Ho Caroline I figure will break Janko down, capitalise on her fairy floss serve and run the Serb all over the court.

It will be good nite after this one for the Serb.

Login to give Aces		 Surprised to see the support weighted that heavily in favour of the young Dane, although she is looking unstoppable at the minute and is definately a future world No.1. Wozniacki won the battle of the challengers for the top in defeating Azarenka in straight sets which was another brilliant and focused perfornance from the mature 17 year-old. Jankovic haggled over the line against an inspired Arvidson the other day before stepping it up a bit against Zheng Jie to book her name here. The Serbian battler doesn't look as confident to me as usual, but I do happen to believe she will prove that the big game experience and the occasion will be a big factor in this outcome. As everyone is usually so keen to point out that in WTA matches serve doesn't matter I'll leave that part up to you to decide. Jankovic is the better athlete and returner, she posseses her trademark fantastic down the line double-handed backhand and great ability to mix up play between defence and offense. Caroline will have her chances in this match in my view if she doesn't become nervous as she understandably has done in the past against the big name players. She hasn't found a way to crack the top 10 players yet and I'm predicting she won't this time here. Only a matter of time before she does but I'm siding with Jelena now who will be looking to capatilise on her compatriot, Ivanovic's exit.
