i rephrase that, not thought he would win, but would actually place a wager on him to win. finally the word has shown that nadal is nothing special to a true hardcourt player. he cannot beat murray, fed, or djokovic. people that take balls off the rise, have good serves, are good movers and have strong backhands and forehands and can hit winners as well as rally with nada will always beat nadal on hardcourt. nadal will beat 98% of people 100% of the time. but he will beat that 2%....djok,fed, and murray on hardcourt about 10% of the time. take this as a lesson so you can make a lot of money next time nadal plays against someone with that tennis pedigree

totally agree with benihana. NADAL IS NOTHING SPECIAL ON HARD COURT. I love the guy, but it's true. the reason he's made it to semis of hard court slams is his mental game and his will to play every point like it's the last. murray is a superior hard court player. nadal will not come back in this match.

dont forget that Nadal has to win 3 more sets and today they both start fresh and Rafa must once again find his rhythm. This match could go either way even if Nadal evens it up at 2-2 because i can see Murray winning a 5th set breaker anyway

Benihana15 if Nadal doesn't win this match I will make a bet with you. I will never comment on this website again. I am so convinced he will win being up a break in the third he should win that and Murray will crack under pressure. Did you see the Robredo game? Nadal started really crap but came storming back. It will happen again today. I was actually dissapointed it rained because he was just starting to get rhythm

all of you people that think nadal will win make me sick. your getting like 1.66 on murray right now and you want to bet on nadal. everyone who thinks nadal will come back should be kicked off this site. there is like a 1% chance nadal comes back. does anybody not look at the stats? NADAL COULD NOT KEEP UP IN RALLIES WITH MURRAY...HE WAS ONLY WINNING 40% OF HIS SECOND SERVE AND MURRAY WAS WINNING ABOUT 60%.

@the tipster - my tip rate is 33% because I have predicted 1 out of 3 matches so far correct involving the likes of Djokovic, Nadal and Murray/Robredo, - see what happens tonight and tommorow and come back to me

Game should resume 4 pm eastern time (22.00 CET). The way Nadal served and esp. how Murray worked on it i would not write off the 3rd set - though i would have prefered the matched would have been finished yesterday cause Nadal looked worn out and was frustrated by Andys very good performance in my opinion. I hope the scotsman keeps his nerves and finishs his great work.

Rafa quite often takes a bit of time to comeout of the blocks so in this repsect the rain delay has played into the hands of Andy. Andy has found a formula that works against Rafa which seems to be to mix up the pace and angles during the ralley which prevents Rafa from taking hold. He's not trying to out 'Rafa' Rafa, rather be accurate and patient. Andy will be very confident in how he's playing and I'd expect him to come out firing. I see it going to four sets with Andy taking the honours. The conditions are going to prove a factor as well so will be interesting to find out what thye're like before they hit the court as this could be a major indication as to who comes out on top.

Listen to the Guru guys- as soon as this match restarts, Murray will break back. The rest is then up to him to win the set & the match but if Andy loses the 3rd set he will end up losing it ALL. Just had this dream & got up to pass on the message...Good Luck!

Rafa will hold, go on to win the third and the preassure of being up two sets, never beating Nadal and the hope of the final with the "Fed" will begin to catch up. Nadal in five.

I think that Nadal will win this match, because Murray has got ''hot head''
In 3 set he was very nervous nad % of his 1st service was poor. He is under pressure and if he doesn't fix his service he won't win this match.

If nadal manages to win 3rd set a nex exciting match will begin... Who is under pressure today? Murray...he is leading, everybody thinks he is going to reach the final...who is underdog today? Nadal... We can expect Rafa to play better than yesterday. Will Andy serve as well as yesterday...Rafa, JUST DO IT !

I had 145 on nadal before the match started. I was getting ready to back murray so i could win some of my money back. But Nadal broke him early in third. Then i remembered about going thwe length with nadal. Murray started making more unforced errors during the third set. However i actually think the rain delay has played into murrays favour because nadal started to play better in 3rd set with 0 unforced errors. If there was no rain delay i would not have ended up backing murray in the end because i was sure that nadal would simply win the match based on fitness.

The only thing for nadal fans to hope for is that andy doesn't continue to serve as well.

look at what murray did to del potro...down some breaks and still won the set. he will do it to nadal in this 3rd set. if not, he will win in. as much as i hate murray, hes a winner.

in the second set nadal faced i think break points in 3 of his service games to but saved them all..just for the record. and not to mention rafa usually loses his first service game wen coming into a match.

pretty much guaranteed that murray will win in straight sets. up a break with rafa doesnt mean much for a guy like murray. unless we see a completely different murray come out tomorrow this match is ovvvvver.

lilboi, I think the rain delay which was inevidable, since they started this match early, will benefit Murray. Since Nadal had the momentum in the set, the rain delay will remove this edge. Two key aspects as to why Murray will win this match are the rain delay and the 2nd set tie-breaker that Murray won. Good luck everyone regardless of which side of the fence your money and/or heart lay.

Hi Johnny - The only reason the odds are still good is because of the name Nadal. Forget that and concentrate on the match, Murray has one foot in the final. Should be 1/4 mate and if I wasn't already on at 7/2 I'd be all over that 4/6 like a rash. lilboi - Why can't he continue at that pace? He wasn't even sweating, he just outclassed Nadal simply. Of course he can maintain that level.

I think the rain break is very unfortunate for Murray. Nadal looked fatigued and this break will help him reassess and most likely he'll play better when he comes out again. Murray who has mentally built up for the match has to come back and do it all again and I don't think he'll be able to continue his excellent performance he had in the first 2 sets.

Yeah right! Basically eh? That will be why Murray broke him 3 times in one set yesterday then and took him to deuce on nearly every single one of his service games. So how is it basically over just because Nadal has a break advantage early in the 3rd exactly? 50/50 match my arse - more like 80-20 in Murray's favour. Murray will probably win in straight sets. TheTips if you didn't back Nadal your lucky - I doubt you did though as seen as you only go for 1/500 shots.

Nadal is up with a break in the 3rd set so basically 4th set will be played. 4 th set= 50/50 match

one of nadals biggest pluses is his strength and stamina over 5 uninterrupted sets and now hes lost that advantage. provided murray can produce the same level of accurate serving from the start again he should finish nadal off

Has123 how could i mark your words if your tip rate is 33.33% correct and your not just tipping nadal to beat murray but also to beat federer
