Tommy the Tanker got what he deserved. Gasquet should have taken him out in the previous round with ease but we all know how fragile Le Grenouille can be. At least he took Tommy to 5 which was perhaps the reason why Gills took the steal on him. The thought of another 5 setter was enough forTommy to reaslise he was going to miss a good night's clubbing. Almagro looked really solid in his last game, he should be well rested, he's a much more accomplished player than Gilles and should win this. Gilles will still be buzzing on geting past Tommy the Tanker and will not see the big Spanish steam train about to roll him over.

Almagro is a solid player known for his flair, talent and inconsistency. He plays right-handed and uses a single-handed backhand. Sort of a younger version of Gaston Gaudio for me when i see him play. He is a better player then Muller who should have lost that game against Haas who proved he can play tennis 2 levels beyond Muller but he was mentaly broken after the third set. That controversial decision was a one to consider because the ball might as well went out. However, its history now. I will pick Almagro to win here pretty comfortably but without any value because i dont like the odds nor the inconsistency of Nicolas Almagro

Muller made me some good money last round by beating Haas, but this is a totally different proposition. Almagro wasn't in good form and everyone doubted him at the start of the tournament but he has done nothing wrong in disposing of Warburg and Dancevic. It will surprise me hugely if Muller causes any problems for Almagro. To be honest Muller was gifted the game against Haas when the Germany hothead played very erratic tennis after losing the third set. Credit to Muller for fighting back after being 2 sets down but for a player who hasn't played 5 setters much and the fact that his played 5 games in 9 days (due to qualifying) and the let down after beating a good player will cause his downfall. Almagro with confidence.

So Gilles Muller won against "lunatic" Tommy Haas and now he should get to the finals? :)
Cmon ppl u all know that psycho players like Berdych, Haas etc could go mad couse of one ball and loose whole match and thats what Haas did, selfdestruction.
I cant see what muller has and does better than almagro?

I like big serving players like Muller. Great confidence and belief would have been gained from his come from behind victory over much despised Tommy "Ha Ha" Haas.

Must say however, Tommy isn't much of a player to consider it to be an "upset" in that match.

Im siding with Almagro. He has the pedigree and produced a fine performance over Warburg. Despite the surface, Almagro is due a good run and will give Muller a bit of a runaround. Haas gassed and injured himself when was favourite for the game. Muller despite good ability with the serve is coming againt a solid talented player who will take each match as it comes.

I backed Muller to bt Haas an i won`t be jumping ship against Almagro.Muller has always had the talent an now he`s believing in himself.Gilles was very impressive in the Qualies an he`s carryed that form into the proper rounds an he will definitely fancy his chances against Almagro.Muller against Haas when i was watching the match i felt sorry for Gilles because i could see him playing good solid tennis in the first 2 sets but he was going for to much,a case of wanting it to much an had no patience but soon has he won the T/Breaker in the 3rd set Muller was simply awsome an Haas didn`t know what hit him.Almagro his a very good player but does his best work on clay but still looked very good against Warburg an won in straight sets, but Muller has a better serve than alot of players i believe,an if he keeps carm out on court,i know he`e got the confidence after coming from 2 sets down against a former world number 2 he can take this match comfortable IMO.I will be backing Muller an 3-1 in sets

thedestroyer9, I just wanted to thank you for your awesome tip on Muller to beat Haas. When I first checked the score, I saw Haas had won the first two sets and thought there was no way Muller would come back. Boy was I wrong! Your tip made me a bundle as for some reason I did not fear the huge odds and wagered a large chunk of cash. I am still numb over this one. Aces coming your way and lots of them!

Thank you,

GG
