 My Selection:R.Nadal 2-0 Sets 1/6 (No value)

Im sure i read by a fellow member about this match it was 50/50,but i disagree with that i agree with Carso. The world number 1 to be should have little problem in beating the Italian in straight sets.

Nadal has been handed a tough draw Murray in the quarter-finals and potentially Djokovic in the semi-finals. The Spaniard's 32 match unbeaten run was ended by Djokovic in the recent TMS Cincinnati and he will be looking at a rematch no doubt. Starace has barely any previous hardcourt results to shout about over the course of his career and Nadal will hit him away comfortably here. Nice match to ease Rafa back into things before the bog matches come thick and fast.

Nadal is by far the best player in the world on clay, and now deserves the title of best on grass as well. However, I do feel that the bookmakers are overestimating his chances on the faster hard courts (he is favourite for the US open, and, despite the draw, only 2/1 for the Olympics. He is also 1/50 for this match.)
I will be steering clear of backing him in this match, even though I can't in all conscience recommend betting on Starace. I am looking forward to making a packet backing against him at juicy odds later on in this tournament - hopefully in the quarers against Murray, where the head to head will make the odds even juicier.

Starace is a bog standard slugger. Nadal has a smarter use of serve and can create some impossibly short angles to get the job done on a hard court, which Starace can't really do. If the match gets tight I still expect Nadal to have the mental capacity to gut it out.

Well absurd odds though yes, but at least Rafa said he will do his best to win anyway, and i have risked so many matches for tomorrow that i need some certainties so my tip percentage doesnt fall like 20 percent something in the worst case scenario lolol

Rafa has no doubt improved this year on hard courts as results show winning Toronto,I would not look to much into rafa defeat against Djokovic because Rafa had done what he wanted to in Cincinnati an that was claim the number 1 spot,Rafa as beaten Starace every time they have met but all there matches as been on clay.Agree with Carson tho Rafa has is work cut out with an awful draw to be honest.
