Good luck anyways.

and this all started over a statement, I said that if you would have actually thought about we would not be having this conversation. I have corrected my statement for you so why can't we drop this now?

sigh....I guess I have to actually type out a reason for every single thing i say as you can not sit there and think.."hey why would he write right". And try to come up with a legitimate reason. Yes i said he was great referring to years ago! wow. Why would I contradict myself saying he has been great lately when I have said he has struggled lately? And I thought we had settled the "hard was marits worst surface"? I think we did by me saying it was a misunderstanding and it meant lately not years ago.

@Buzz => We agree on the struggles, and his has always had them by the way. But these are not linked to the surface, but to the player. As you may know, Marat is often victim of mental breakdowns.

And I was reacting to your statement saying Hard is Marat's worst surface. I still don't see any good arguments for that, and you now say he has been great on it...

yes i understand. My statement (not ridiculous IMO) was referring to lately. I do not know why I would refer to years past. Why would I make a statement that was referring to years ago. That would make no sense when talking about a match tonight. Yes he has been great on hard but has also has his struggles and those are now.

@Buzz => No hostility, it's just that you sounded so sure of your (ridiculous IMO) statement that I had to react.

I agree he has been struggling lately with a couple of upsets, but that's Marat. However, Hard has always been, is still, and will always be his best surface.

let me rephrase that. He has struggled on hard. And I was not referring to 2-3 years ago. I am talking about lately. I made a comment and you act like you want to kill me now. You can settle down now. Whats with the hostility?

@Buzz => Hard court is Safin's worst surface in your opinion ???
What a joke ! How come he won 4 of his 7 major titles on Hard then, including 2 Grand Slams ???

this being odesnik's best surface and safin's worst. Besides the run safin had at wimbledon he has not done anything this year. He did beat a big serving isner in straight sets pretty easy which I thought it would be a little tougher than that. Odesnik has been pretty consistent in his tournaments this year winning his 1 or 2 matches and then getting beat out but beating no one that stands out. But with his latest issues with injuries and such I do not know what he has left. He is 0-4 against top 50 players this year and has not played near the competition that safin has. I will back safin here

take out safin's great run at wimbledon and you see that he is nothing special any more, even on what used to be his best surface. this could be a close match, so i think the value is with odesnik.

Marat seems motivated and in good form.
Should be a easy match this one.

Yeah right.Odds on Marat 1.3 or 1.25 I have not seen for a while. And against Odesnik with those odds you must be Gates to throw away money so easily.Odesnik had great last year and this year he had injury problems but he can give Marat a lot of troubles.Marat won GS on hard long time ago when he could run little faster and longer.I am not saying Marat is not favourite for this match but with those odds no thank you.Odesnik has great attacking game and you will thrown money away once when Marat will start arguing with empire.

Alright...how many times has Marat won a grand Slam on HC vs Clay?

I can't see this match as being nothing but a storm in a teacup for the Odesnik backers. It's brewing.....

odds on Marat are the biggest bookie mistake of the year.Marat favourite surface is clay couse movement is little slower than on hardcourts.Odesnik has game to breake Marat nerves from first point.Odesnik plays angles and often he attack net and this is something Marat don t do too much.I am on Odesnik couse those odds on Marat are the biggest crap.I would take Marat for at least 1.5

This is a match which produce a really great surprise for USA ....After a good match with B. Reynolds, Odesnik will be really motivated to win this game cause he plays home and the public will be with him in every moment . With a good service and more patience i think that Odesnik should beat Safin ....A safin who isnt in a good form ....a lost legend i can say:) Odesnik will prouve that he is a really good player on hard:)

simple odesnik is here just because of simply awful Reynolds performance as destroyer mentioned so easy win for Safin here
