Login to give Aces | | If Berdych is over is injury after is match last week against Robredo he should be to strong for the out of form fin.They`ve meet 3 times with Berdych winning all 3 of them an only dropping 1 set so Berdych will be confident of beating Nieminin.Berdych hasn`t had the best of seasons so far in my opinion for a player of his talent.Is best performance comeing on hard courts are reaching the Quater/Final in the A/O (Lost to Federer) an Miami reaching the Semi-Final (Lost to Nadal) other than that Berdych has failed to make a big impression so far on the hard courts.Berdych knows this is a big week for him after last year in the Rogers cup he went out in the 1st round to (Haase) so he dont have many points to defend so a good week would mean back by the top 10 where i think he belongs.Nieminin hasn`t been in form all year he started off well reaching the A/O Quater/Final lost to Nadal but since then on a hard court haven`t gone past the 2nd round in any other hard court tournement.In my opinion Berdych has to many weapons for the fin an Berdych serve an forehand are a match for most players espically players like Nieminen..Berdych will be in all my multi bets |

Login to give Aces | | Berdych does well on hardcourts, and I expect him to do quite well in this tournament, with a potential run to the quarters or even the semi's. Of course he'd have to get through Nadal and Ferrer, but he certainly has the talent to knock off the world's best. |

Login to give Aces | | Tomas for me,has had a reasonable season,considering his talent but still under performes for me.Jarkko has completely capitulated this season although he tends to start playing much better during the latter part of the year especially on the faster courts.However Tomas should have too much for him and I can see only one winner here. |

Massive serve backed up with some powerful accurate shots into the corners will have Nieminen all over the place. Nieminen is consistent enough but lacks a real killer punch. Berdych is going to pulverise the Finn's serve at every opportunity and this is a match to be hitting with big stakes. 2 sets. Berdych 2/5 Nieminen 5/2. |

Typically a good performer on hard, I would expect his delivery to hold up much better than Nieminen's, which could get bullied by Berdych's taking of the ball early. As Nieminen struggles to deal with the power of Berdych he may find himself on the scramble and leave Berdych some comfortable midcourft balls which are a gift for a player like Berdych. |
